David Martin, P.E.
Co-Founder/President
Along with Buck Franke, Dave is one of
the principle owners of Trace Environmental.
He is responsible for operational, financial and the human
resources management of the company.
Mr. Martin has extensive experience in data acquisition and
Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems.
With over 15 years of experience, he has implemented a wide
range of projects of varying scopes and complexities.
He is a graduate of Lehigh University, BS Chemical
Engineering, and The Johns Hopkins University, Masters Environmental
Engineering.
During his time away from work, Dave
enjoys the outdoors, hunting, skiing, playing soccer and enjoying
time with his wife and four kids.
Charles “Buck” Franke
Co-Founder/Managing Partner
Buck is one of the principle owners of
Trace Environmental. He is responsible for front-end data
acquisition programming as well as project management and customer
support. For 15 years he was the Director of Research and
Development at the Brooks Instrument Division of Emerson Electric.
After leaving Brooks in 1993, Buck formed a small company; Linear
products, Inc. designing and building custom process control
systems. In 1995, he co-founded Trace Environmental Systems,
Inc.
He is a graduate of Old Dominion
University in Mechanical Engineering.
Jim
Toolen
Sales
Manager
Jim has been with Trace since our inception in 1995 and currently heads up the sales and marketing efforts for Trace Environmental. Jim’s efforts focus on securing new business and developing new markets while also supporting the needs of Trace’s existing client base.
Since 1985, Jim has been involved with engineered solution sales such as process control instrumentation and control systems as well as with the environmental monitoring and reporting systems that Trace offers.
His time away from Trace is spent with his wife and three young children, being involved in community improvement projects and organizations, and playing golf.

Mark Maxwell
Senior
Project Engineer
Mark has been with Trace since May of 2004 and
has over 20 years experience in the CEMS industry.
Mark’s career started with Sampling Technologies Incorporated
in
Kevin Sullivan
Sr.
Project Engineer
Kevin has been at Trace for almost 5 years. He is a Senior
Project Engineer specializing in setting up the DAS 2000
Configuration/Reporting software and managing our PEMS Projects.
He has BSME from University of Rhode Island and has 15 years
experience with CEMS DAS software and reporting regulations.
He has extensive knowledge of all the major EPA regulations
including: Part 75 Acid Rain Program, NOx Budget Program, 40 CFR
Parts 60, 63 and 503. He was involved with the recent software
upgrades required for the P75 (XML) ECMPS and PADEP EDR (CSMM Rev.
8) reporting revision. In addition, he is Trace’s resident surfer boy and is
an ardent fan of all of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially
the Eagles, Flyers and 2008 World Series Champions Phillies.

Trevor Badu
Service
Manager
Trevor
comes to us from the US Army, where he served our country as a
Specialist/E-4 Chinook Helicopter Mechanic. He's also worked
at various manufacturing plants where he was responsible for both
the design and service of mechanical and electrical systems relevant
to production. Trevor graduated from Marist college with a BS
in Criminal Justice. Trevor spends his spare time as an active
Lieutenant on the Vernon Fire Department, and he's also a
life-member with the Vernon Ambulance Squad. As the service
manager, Trevor plays a key role in setting Trace's pace. This
pace is driven by the fair and friendly business relationships.
He also plays the role of a Service Technician on his own team,
supporting customers directly both on the phone and in the field.
Frank Pearson
DAS Support Specialist
Frank is the DAS support person who assists customers with
configuration, reporting and PC issues. He is also a
programmer responsible for writing code for our Data Explorer
and Automatic Report Agent products. In addition,
Frank is our EDR and PADEP expert. He also makes the
coffee at the Trace NJ office!

David Strain
DAS Support Specialist
With over 15 years in the IT Support Management arena, "the other David" (Strain) was Vice President of a top ten bank before joining Trace. He's found his niche here as a DAS Support Specialist in addition to managing some of the local projects. David also serves as a Senior IT consultant for all installations and is currently furthering his CEMS education by getting involved with Factory Acceptance Tests.
Joe Munson
Field Service Technician
Joe has been working as a Field Service Technician for Trace Environmental Systems for nearly three years now. His responsibilities include scheduling and performing quarterly audits and preventative maintenance for many different ethanol plants throughout the Midwest. He also takes care of any emergency service issues that might come up.
Before working for Trace, Joe was an electronics technician for Munson Mechanical. He was in the Touchplay division and provided service and install assistance for video lottery machines all around Iowa.
Joe Wolfe
Field Service Technician
After 4 years behind a desk for Konica Minolta in PCs and networking, Joe decided a desk wasn’t for him. He returned to the trades and service industries, where he had worked for 20 years, starting with Trace in June 2005. He now uses both his computer and trade skills to support Trace’s growing client base. He holds Novell and Microsoft certifications and was licensed in NJ for boiler, water and wastewater treatment. As of the beginning of the year, Joe and his wife moved to Nebraska to enhance Trace's commitment to clients in the Midwest. In his spare time Joe works on small projects in his shop and rides his Harley around the Midwest looking for this country’s history and oddities.
Stephen Bogusta
Field Service Technician
Steve
has been with Trace Environmental for two years, bringing 12
years of experience in the electro-mechanical trade and
fabrication industry and over 4 years of Business Management
and Network Engineering education. He is responsible for
installations, quarterly maintenance and emergency customer
service calls. His strong mechanical abilities and the
completion of 25 + full C.E.M.S installs with Trace
Environmental have made him an integral part of the start up
team. Steve enjoys the friendly and professional
atmosphere at Trace Environmental and while at home,
spending time with his wife and three children.

Rafael Rodriguez
Mechanical Fabricator
Prior to coming to Trace, Rafael worked for 26 years in molding Technology. His focus at Trace is the mechanical fabrication of CEMS and CEMS FLOW 500 stack monitoring systems. He enjoys performing the mechanical work, modifying and fabricating to ensure customer satisfaction.

Dale Bielecki
Electrical Panel Builder
Dale has been employed by Trace since November 2007. His job at Trace consists electrical wiring of CEMS and related assemblies. He obtained his electrical background from serving our country as an electronics tech in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to 1979 and working for several electronic manufacturers since his discharge from the military. ( Computer Power ,High Bridge , N.J. 1979 – 1983 , North Atlantic Industries ,Hackettstown ,N.J. ,1983 -1985 ,PRC Laser Netcong , N.J. 1996 -2000 , Rudolph Technologies ,Netcong N.J. 2000-2001)

Patricia Bayerelin
Office Manager
After many years in a different industry a move to New Jersey brought Pat to Trace Environmental Systems, Inc. She is responsible for accounts payable and receivable and to insure that the manuals provided with our systems are printed and sent out.
Connie Sibona-Foster
Purchasing Agent
Constance Sibona-Foster has an extensive career in the field of process measurement and control having worked for major corporations. Her area of expertise is in purchasing and project coordination with Project Management to insure that our customers are served in a timely manner. Connie is past-President of ISA – Instrument Society of America – New Jersey Section.

Erin Sullivan
Technical Manual Writer
Graduated cum laude from La Salle University in 2008 with a
double B.A. in Chemistry and Biochemistry and a Minor in
History. Began working for Trace in September 2008
assembling the Equipment Manuals specfic to each customer's
product and site.
Chelise Ashworth
Business
Development
Chelise worked for Starbucks Coffee Company for
12 years in Business Development for Licensed Stores on both a
regional and national level and was based in
